Erik Winslow is currently Professor of Behavioral Sciences of the Management Department at The George Washington University in Washington, DC. His education includes the Bachelor of Science (Psychology) from The Pennsylvania State University, the Master of Science (Psychology) from Case Western Reserve University. At Case Western Reserve University, he worked closely with Frederick I. Herzberg as an assistant professor of psychology and staff associate for Psychological Research Services and the Center for Industrial Mental Health.

Professor Winslow's current interests include research and writing on entrepreneurship and succession and survival of family enterprises, organizational climate formation, organizational change, management/leadership in technical and professional environments, stimulating creative management strategies and the development of motivational environments. He has published over 30 articles and chapters, and has edited numerous professional publications in the above areas.

He is the recipient of numerous awards and honors including the School of Government and Business Administration outstanding service award, The International Council for Small Business award for dedicated service, the International Association for Systems Theory Award for excellence, The United States Association for Small Business and Entrepreneurship award for Model Entrepreneurship program, elected as a Fellow of the United States Association for Small Business and Entrepreneurship, and The Centre for Development and Population Activities Outstanding Service Award.

He has served as the Chairman of the Management Science Department (presently known as the Management Department at The George Washington University) for 28 of the 33 years of its existence. He is also the Director of the Center for Entrepreneurial Excellence (CFEE) at The George Washington University. Dr. Winslow has been a Director of Policy, Planning and Organizational Development for the Department of Revenue for the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.

Dr. Winslow has consulted with government agencies including the Departments of Defense, Health and Human Services, Commerce, and Veteran’s Administration, Federal Emergency Management Administration, AID, Interior, and the Small Business Administration. Private Corporate consulting includes Computer Science Corporation, EDS, US Air Force, and Westinghouse Corporation, Smelkinson-Sysco Corporation, GE, Ernst and Young, AT&T, Bell Atlantic, The Software Productivity Corporation, IBM, multiple small and medium businesses, Arnold and Porter LLP, Beers and Cutler, Washington Trade Association, Men's Wear Retailers Association, Air Line Pilots Association, NRC and National Geographic. He has been a visiting professor at Beijing University PRC and a guest lecturer at Hebrew University and the University of Tel Aviv in Israel.
