Current Ph.D. Student
BioVivianna He is a first year doctoral student at the George Washington University School of Business who has a diverse background in the field of management. Vivianna earned her B.A. in Hospitality and Hotel Management at Xiamen University, China. During her undergraduate studies she spent a one year at Singapore Management University where she focused on a variety of social sciences, including Psychology, Sociology and Cultural Anthropology. Curiosity in organizational behavior on a micro level propelled Vivianna to advance her education in business management at Xi’an Jiaotong University, China. Her master thesis was featured by using the Grounded Theory to explore the innovation culture. She has been interested in the measurement of implicit discrimination and its counterproductive effects to organizations and has conducted a research project testing the relationship between implicit discrimination against Chinese rural migrants and their organizational commitment. Her current research interests include the development of successful leadership, organizational citizenship behavior, and organizational effectiveness. Currently, she is a Teaching Assistant in Organizational Behavior for Dr. Bailey. Besides organizational research, she enjoys jogging and doing yoga. Vivianna used to be a marathon runner and plans to compete in the Marine Corps Marathon in DC. Particularly, Vivianna is a big fan of Model United Nations (MUN) and has been participating and leading various MUN activities during her studies in China. |
